Brisbane Water (NSW) Legacy Club was presented with its Charter of Legacy on 29 June 1951 and is an autonomous Legacy Club which exists to provide assistance and care to widows, widowers and the dependants of deceased war veterans. This role is performed by its members (Legatees) and employed staff under the direction of an elected Board of Directors assisted by Support Committees of Legatees. In performing this role it is guided by the Legacy Statutes, which comprise the Fundamentals of Legacy, the Code of Legacy and the Legacy Principles and Rules for Guidance, its Charter, its Constitution and Rules.
Brisbane Water (NSW) Legacy is a leader in providing support and care for dependants of veterans who served their country in a war area or an operational area and who died on service or subsequently. We provide a wide range of welfare services to our enrolled dependants and quality residential care to members of the veteran and general communities of the Central Coast.
We provide welfare support to eligible dependants. We provide accommodation through our self care village and residential care at both our facilities. We value and respect others, including Legatees, our enrolled dependants, employed staff, our partners within the Legacy family and members of the wider community.

Brisbane Water (NSW) Legacy includes the Legacy Club and the Company.
The Club is responsible for performing the Legacy role in providing support and care for the enrolled dependants of deceased war veterans.
The objectives of the Club are to:
- honour the memory of departed comrades.
- care for the dependants of deceased veterans by making available the benefits of Legacy in accordance with the Code of Legacy.
- assist in the establishment of programs of care and the promotion of activities which will provide benefit and support for dependants of deceased veterans.
- provide Club members with the opportunity of meeting regularly, so that associations and comradeship may be preserved, mutual helpfulness promoted and the interchange of ideas stimulated.
- raise funds for any of the objectives of the Club by such means as the Club considers proper.
- receive, undertake and supervise, or advise and assist in the application, distribution or administration of any funds or monies made available to the Club.
- co-operate with and assist the Department of Veterans' Affairs, and any other Government Department, the Returned and Services League of Australia or any other association in the conduct of any effort in the interests of veterans and dependants of deceased veterans.
- co-operate with other Legacy Clubs and the Legacy Foundation of NSW in accordance with the Code of Legacy in the attainment and maintenance of the objectives and ideals as stated in the Charter of Legacy.
- operate in conjunction with the Company known as Brisbane Water (NSW) Legacy in the furtherance of the aims and objectives of the Club.
The Company, with its elected Board, is responsible for superintending the operations of the Legacy Village, Legacy Aged Care Norah Head and Wyoming. These provide the financial support which allows the Club to carry out its welfare role. The Company operates in accordance with its Constitution. These documents outline the financial policy of the company and the role of the Board and are issued to Directors under authority of the Board.
